    Looking for Fantasy Lovers' Expertise

Hello, I am on the search for bigger and better things within the Fantasy realm, it seems like this forum has a lot of Sci-Fi as well, which I am sure I could learn to appreciate. I am new to this site, but all of my old haunts are leading me in circles and I need to get my hands on something...

    The Black Magician Trilogy

I have read the first two and will read the third, but I found myself disappointed with the second. Cery only made one appearance, and if he doesn’t have a big part in the third I will be really upset. I was also bored with Dannyl's story, not only do I in general prefer girls as heroines but it...

    Books you've grown out of

When I was in second grade my favorite book was The Ordinary Princess, I still reread it often. What is really wonderful is that I have discovered that the same author who wrote my favorite as a seven year old also has written for adults. And now I am reading the Far Pavillions and I can enjoy...

    Beauty and the Beast

"Rose Daughter" and "Beauty" are two versions, both written by Robin McKinley. McKinley also wrote "Sunshine" which has a little of the Beauty and the Beast story in it as well. All three are highly recomemnded. Though I wish I could find another version of BatB written by someone else, it's my...
