My vote will go fro Hermoine. i just adore her intellectual. at certain scenes she turns out to be the actual hero of the story with Ron and Harry giving her company only coz of her sheer intelligence.

i liked The Storm by Kate Chopin. and one of my favorite childhood memories is Enid Blyton stories. i just adore his narratives.

i don't think its weird if being a guy one loves romantic books. being a voracious reader ,i like reading all kind of books which includes the romantic books too. of course i i can't go on with the mushy romantic Mills and Boon series which my sister is crazy about. but then who wouldn't fall in...

in deed its one of the most intriguing short stories i have ever read! hats off to Cheever for he brought the narratives so lively especially that of Lawrence's. the lucid writing style of the author is just too good! any one out there who can recommend some other short stories by John Cheever?

my all time favorite is Agatha Cristie.. however, i also enjoy Arthur Conan Doyle's work.
