    Forum group dynamics

I agree , even my typing skill is dubious . Found reading it myself pretty embarrassing ! Can we not agree to put one enormous space between the first and the last letter of these ramblings , to ease the pain and call it a day . Always preferred reading to writing .

    Forum group dynamics

Maybe a synopsis of my experiences in a Dutch readers forum might be of interest here . First I must state I had no experience with forums (fora?)other then to jump in and ask a question . So no introducing myself , no participating , just pragmatically using the know how of a forum .Had no idea...

    Mustard? Really?

This is IT ???? Wondered if I strolled into the wrong place . Thought the smell of sulpher and smoke would be overwhelming in the middle of a mature discussion . Well thats a bit of a surprise , by accident stumbled onto this thread , without realising this meant I have been admitted to the...

    Good quality thrillers,detectives,

Read a lot of Hiaasen , liked the first ones very much but became bored around the 6th or 7th one . Certainly will have a look at Dorsey and Barry , dont know them . If you mean John D. McDonald , I have read most of his work . The Travis McGee series some of his best work , quality of the early...

Cosimah2o: It seems a little linguistic chaos . Not really , the language you are learning is the civilized , generally accepted Dutch , taught in both flemish and dutch schools . Of course this doesnt guarantee you will be understood . Probably similar linguistic problems can be found in...

Yes, but PLEASE lets keep this quiet ! Your collegue forgot to mention that this alien race of amfibians-the dutch- also willy nilly kill of their elders and their unborn ( info based on the expertise of Dr.Phil)and spend most of their time clog dancing , stoned out of their skull visiting...

There really are no belgians , you are either flemish (dutch speaking) or walonian (french speaking) and there is a lot of (political) friction between those ,,belgians,,As far as understanding the flemish , I often watch their television because the programs often are better than our own TV...

Certainly not Cosimah2o , no trauma there, the flemish and the dutch just like to tease each other , I guess like lots of other neighbors (scots and english , americans from the south and the north , the list is endless ) You should be able to think of a spanish example , of course its all...

    Best Western Ever

Greatest slapstick , spaghetti western , My name is nobody . Great role by Henry Fonda , probably silly but liked this one a lot , long time ago however , so not sure it would still hit the right spot .

    Best Western Ever

I dont care , I like shallow , especially where Eastwood movies are concerned . But what I wanted to say was I enjoyed the acting effort involved , to sell to the viewer the metamorphosis from alcoholic slob to stone cold psychopathic killer (hero I now see might not be the best description of...

    Best Western Ever

Always wanted to plague as many people as possible with this theory : The Unforgiven by Clint Eastwood is the best western ever made . Seeing the general quality of films today , I dare to predict this will not change in the future . I was most impressed by the fact that the ultimate hero...
