    Great sea stories?

How about "Mutiny on the Bounty"! Actually, its a set of three books, I cannot remember the second one, but the third one is Pitcairn Island. They are all great to read.

    Susan Hill: Mrs de Winter

I read it, and I was very disappointed. I don't know why people try to write sequels. Just look at the sequal to Gone With The Wind, it turned out not to be a book about the South, but just another romance novel. I was really, really disappointed.

michael moore is a big fat stupid white man (mn', mn', mn')

Maybe Michael Moore is overboard, but I have read his book and his web site. We have some ugly talking radio talk show people, and he was an answer to them. I thought for awhile that I was the only person in the United States questioning what was going on in our government. I am not a person...

    Exploration and Outdoor Adventure

Right now, I reading "The Hill" by Ed Hommer. While not giving away much, he had an awful experience on Mt. McKinley, and managed to survive. Its not a difficult book to read, and I would recommend it.

    What are your fears?

Fear of being rejected, loneliness, heights and spiders. That above covers it.

    My first...

My first horror books was Carrie. I am not much on science fiction but I have read a few by Asimov. Does this count - I 've read all the Harry Potter books - are they considered fantasy?

    I thought diamond, and won.

    Dean Koontz

I said Anxiety but actually the book was called "Intensity", but it was one of the few books where I became anxious; therefore, I changed the name. Oops.

Alexandre Dumas: The Count Of Monte Cristo

I read the book years ago and enjoyed it. I believe he also wrote "The Man in the Iron Mask" which I liked much better. That book was based on some truth as there was a man in prison whose face was hidden by a cloth. To this day, no one knows who was for certain although there is speculation.

Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You!

Besides Disney and Halliburton, here, in Oklahoma, we have the corporate hog, Wal-Mart. I have been told this is capitalism at its finest when a Wal-Mart builds a super size store right outside a small town, lowers its prices. Once it has put all the small competitors out of business they then...

    Dean Koontz

I just finished "Odd Thomas", and I think it is the best one of his books. I'm not going to give anything away. I was really surprised at the ending. In fact, I was really surprised at my reaction. Anyone else read it?

    The stand

I like Stephen King. For one thing, you never know what he is going to come up with next. The Stand to me was just a battle between good and evil. I like it more so than some of his other works.

    Jane Austen

I read Pride and Prejudice, and I liked it. Several years ago, I decided to read some of the classics, and this was one of them. Little Women I had some problems with because some of it did not make sense to me. Maybe the time period when it was written should be taken into consideration, and...

    How well read are you?

I, too, have read a lot of books since third grade (I had a reading problem) when I discovered Nancy Drew that turned me on to books. Since that time, I have read all types. About six years ago, I read classics for about a year, and although some of them were difficult, enjoyed my time with...

    Americano Culture

On some web sites where I post, I just type USA. I've had caviar on crackers but it was a moderate priced and salty. I don't take my shoes off in a house unless I'm asked, but my husband takes his shoes off. As far as being a liberal is concerned, I don't know when that started. I am more...
