    Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction too. It was okay (the casting definitely helped) but I was more exhausted than saddened or frightened by the end.

    Watching movies vs Reading Books

    I agree w/this, and that's why I usually prefer the book. Also, most movies just aren't able to cover as much due to runtime and they'll drop content that may not directly pertain to the main plot but add depth - you get this with Dickens adaptations all the time, and I've watched like 10...

    Justin Cronin: The Passage

    I liked it, although it was a little "busy" - seems like he was throwing a lot of ideas around. I liked the characters though and found it very suspenseful. I haven't read its sequel The Twelve yet.
