I'm still trying to puzzle out the Silmarillion. It's been beside the bed for about a year now, and I still can't bring my self to start it again. I got about halfway through last time but just forgot about it.
I read a bit of it and it sounds as though her logic is solid. There was also a t.v. special on a couple of months ago which advanced this same theory, but I don't remember if Cornwell was associated with the show.
I also thought the film was really good, considering what I was expecting when I went in to see it. Maybe I just remember it as a good movie as compared to Star Bores, which I also saw that weekend.
Don't know if anyone else has read it yet, but I was very annoyed with the end of Lamb by Christopher Moore. It just didn't complete the story in my opinion.

If you are Welsh you should read the books. Lloyd Alexander based them on Welsh mythology and the terrain of Wales. I read the books as a kid, but didn't realize the Welsh corrolation until I started doing academic Welsh research. By the way, do you speak Welsh? I have tried to...
