    Guilty pleasures

    Well, there is nothing wrong with reading what you like. You read as a hobby, as a form of enjoyment and I would assume a form of escapism. You indulge yourself with your mystery/crime novels. Your friends just enjoy learning about someone else's life. I mean, biographies bore me, personally...
