Thanks for that muggle, it makes a lot more sense now! I'll get Equal Rites from the library tomorrow.

    Terry Pratchett

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I've just ordered Wyrd Sisters. I'm wondering how I'll like it as I've never read anything like this before, I'm looking forward to it though!

    Terry Pratchett

I haven't read any Terry Pratchett books yet. Any suggestions as to where to start, there are just so many!

    New Site Design - Why?

This is all so messing with my head. Oh my, I just did that and now the old style looks wrong too! As for the brown. I don't like brown generally but I do like it here, it makes the site look posh and stylish!

    José Saramago: Blindness

I'm finding The Double much harder going than Blindness but then again I've hardly had any time to read lately. I think that The Double is probably a book that needs to be focused on over a few days rather than dipped into when I have a moment. I'm persevering though because I want my socks...

    Kate Mosse: Labyrinth

I've just finished Labyrinth and thought that it was just far too long. I'm sure that I'd have enjoyed it much more it was about 200 pages less. I found it to be ok, although I too thought that it was going to be amazing due to the hype surrounding it. I was very surprised when it won...

    José Saramago: Blindness

I'm just on the first few pages of The Double. I'm really looking forward to it as I loved Blindness.

Jon McGregor: If Nobody Speaks Of Remarkable Things

I started it last year and gave up about 30 pages into it. I don't think that it was the books fault, I seem to have had a whole run of books that I've given up on in the past year, it's very frustrating. You've encouraged me to go back to it though and I WILL stick with it! Thanks!

    Kate Mosse: Labyrinth

I'm on page 122 and like many here I'm finding it very draggy. I was so looking forward to reading it too. It's not unbearable but dissapointing ... so far.

    Patrick Süskind: Perfume

Ok I'll give you that one! I still found it slow and boring though. :)

    Patrick Süskind: Perfume

I just found the story too drawn out. I knew that he had the finest "nose" in the world from the back of the book and the whole thing just seemed to be smell after smell after smell but not very much else going on.

Alexander McCall Smith: The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency

I gave up on Portugese Irregular Verbs too! It seemed very amaturish compared to the Mma Ramotswe and Mr JLB Matekoni books.
