Thanks for all of the suggestions. I've just ordered Wyrd Sisters. I'm wondering how I'll like it as I've never read anything like this before, I'm looking forward to it though!
This is all so messing with my head.
Oh my, I just did that and now the old style looks wrong too!
As for the brown. I don't like brown generally but I do like it here, it makes the site look posh and stylish!
I'm finding The Double much harder going than Blindness but then again I've hardly had any time to read lately. I think that The Double is probably a book that needs to be focused on over a few days rather than dipped into when I have a moment. I'm persevering though because I want my socks...
I've just finished Labyrinth and thought that it was just far too long. I'm sure that I'd have enjoyed it much more it was about 200 pages less.
I found it to be ok, although I too thought that it was going to be amazing due to the hype surrounding it.
I was very surprised when it won...
I started it last year and gave up about 30 pages into it. I don't think that it was the books fault, I seem to have had a whole run of books that I've given up on in the past year, it's very frustrating.
You've encouraged me to go back to it though and I WILL stick with it!
Thanks!
I'm on page 122 and like many here I'm finding it very draggy. I was so looking forward to reading it too. It's not unbearable but dissapointing ... so far.
Oh my. wilderness is 17!!
No, no, I didn't mean any of that perve stuff!
I could probably get arrested in more than one country for typing that!!
Wow, thank you to everyone all around the world!
I didn't check in yesterday as I had one too many irish coffees after dinner :o .
As for wilderness... I'd love to be perved on anytime!! ;) :D
Thank you all again!!
I just found the story too drawn out. I knew that he had the finest "nose" in the world from the back of the book and the whole thing just seemed to be smell after smell after smell but not very much else going on.
Today I did something that I've never done before.
I've been struggling to read this book for the past few weeks and I was about halfway through. I've felt that it was slow going, but, for a while, I was determined to finish it as it's been on my tbr pile for about a year. Anyway today I was...
I have read them all so far.
Usually I turn to them when life is a bit hectic and I need something light and gentle.
I also like to read them on a plane as I find it hard to concentrate and these are very easy to drift from and come back a few minutes later.
I love them for their...
I downloaded Google Earth a couple of months ago and yes, its amazing. I find myself having a look at things at least a couple of times a week.
The community pages are good too as there are some fun things to do and interesting things to see.
Where I live is so clear I can even see my...
