The whole Martin Beck series was actually just reprinted here in the UK so they have been available in the book shops again. When I say "was" I mean within the last couple of years.
I have become a bit of an extremist of late. I swing from (positive) noir, when I can find it, to comedy novels like Janet Evanovich and Carl Hiaasen. Ultra-dark to ultra-light without much in between.

All true,SFG75. But at least in a book store you know you are walking out with the book you want. Buy from Amazon and you can be in for a surprise when some book (eventually)turns up a week later that you never ordered.
