Why do we like collecting books?

Why?... Umm... Would you rather have your oxygen tank at a store or at yourr house when you need it?..... I think that's how it is for me...

    which genres do you read?

Which genres do you read? I realize that we all read from many different genres - which ones make the bulk of your reading? Any qualifiers within the genre?

how much do you write per day?

How much do you write per day? How many pages, for how long? How old were you when you started to write? Did you always write, or did you think that you wanted to write and didn't? As you can surmise from my question, that is my plight, and I am trying to figure out how normal this is. And...

Book Crossing - Recycling books 'into the wild'

SillyWabbit, I've added you to my friends on Bookcrossing. :) I've been a member for 10 months or so. Love it! I generally buy books at library sales to release and share. You can see my bookshelf at http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf/nelka35 . I have a few bookrays and a bookbox going...

Ross, thanks for the title! I wanted to read some about these subjects, and had no idea what books are there. Gonna look it up... Again, thanks! :)

    How much is too much?

Yeah... I am trying not to think about it... On the other hand, I can't afford to buy even used books now. I do buy on Ebay, but now can't afford that either. So - it's www.bookcrossing.com for books for me; well, and, of course, the library. At Bookcrossing, books travel and are shared by many...

As Robinson Crusoe mentioned, http://www.bookcrossing.com/home is a great place to donate books, as well as share them with people and find the books you want and make exchanges. BookCrossing isn't a place to donate the books exactly. It'a where you could register a book, and then 'release' it...

    hello people

Thanks for the welcome, Idun, Tim!:) Thanks for the suggestion, Tim. I don't know if it would be my kind of books, though, as I can see from the title - I read gentle fantasy, mostly.
