    Any recomendations for psychological thrillers?

Deaver and Harris are both very good. Don't bother with Hannibal Rising but Red Dragon is pretty darn scary. The Lincoln Rhyme series by Deaver are great - very tense but also interesting because Rhyme is a) a quadraplegic and b) a genius. I didn't care for the Kathryn Dance novels as much...

Review of Crimson Joy by Robert B. Parker

I think Crimson Joy is one of the best in the Spenser series by Robert Parker. There's a lot of tension and some interesting developments in the relationship between Spenser and his inamorata, Susan Silverman. My full review is on my blog Words! Books! Quotes! and more.

My review of The Devils of Cardona by Matthew Carr

This is a mystery set in 16th century Spain. The protagonist is sent to Aragon to investigate the murder of a priest. It's not a simple murder and, fortunately, Fernando Mendoza is not a simple man. And, despite the gap of 400 years to the present, there's lots of relevance to now. If you...

Review of The Godwulf Manuscript by Robert Parker

The Spenser series by Robert B. Parker has always been a favorite of mine and now I am re-reading them in order. The first one is The Godwulf Manuscript. First published in 1973, this book introduces us to Spenser, tough guy, wise ass, detective, cook .... In this one, Spenser is hired to find...

Books where Aliens are friends with Humans

There's quite a few. Mary Doria Russell: The Sparrow and Children of God The aliens here may not be our friends, but they are not enemies. Becky Chambers: The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet which has aliens that are our friends and others that are our enemies David Brin's whole Uplift Series...
