    Scarlett O'Hara

Scarlett was a casualty of the war and thrust into life and death situations. She rose to the occasion and did what she had to do in the worst of circumstances of post civil war. I saw the movie recently too and it reminded me of how much I respected her tough choices.

    patricia cornwell (kay scarpetta series)

Completely agree that the characters are no longer likeable. I also feel like the Scarpetta character keeps putting herself in some bonehead dangerous situations that don't even merit sympathy from the reader.

    David Baldacci: The Innocent

Disappointing to hear your reveiw on Baldacci's latest. I've read a few of his earlier books and really liked them.

Escape from Camp 14, Blaine Harden

I recently read a book review on this book and it sounds like an incredible story...but is it a good read? I don't know anything about this author.

Who is your favourite author, and why?

I used to be a huge Grisham fan, but haven't read any of his recent works. I agree that The Firm and The Pelican Brief were his best.

Looking for a good Medieval book....

Recently read a couple of books that are part of a series, Wizardmont and Bryunzet, by Michael W. Lowe. They are fantasy with lots of action involving swords and magical bows! Waiting on his next book in the series.

    Nelson DeMille: Up Country

Then you will love The Gatehouse...his character has gotten even better and his comments about his in-laws are hysterical!

    Nelson DeMille: Up Country

I have not read Up Country, but have read Gold Coast and am currently reading the sequel to that, The Gatehouse, and have enjoyed both so far.
