Just finished Josie Dew's Saddled at Sea. I have read several of her books and being a keen cyclist, was looking forward to some cycling tales. disappointingly, this was all about ships and the sea...You'd think the title would have given me a clue :-)
I recently started reading Henning Mankell's books, after watching the Wallender series on TV. He is a terrific detective writer. Another Swedish writere of the same calibre is Stieg Larsson, with his Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series.

The elderly will suffer the most. And those that can't afford to buy books.
I would go for The Colour of Magic, then, The Light Fantastic and then Mort. These are all Disc World books, other comedy fantasy I have read by him are Truckers and Diggers.
I find them all hilarious and inventive. I'm sure you will enjoy reading him.
Just finishing a Terry Pratchett Disk World novel, Going Postal. Very funny as usual. These are great books to cheer you up.All of Terry Pratchett's book make me laugh. Great humour.Terrific imagination.

It is a fantasy humorous novel. Terry Pratchett invented a complete world called, Disc World. It is extremely funny and inventive. He has a huge following. I love his books.He must have written about 40 Disc World novels and around 20 others, all humorous.I suggest you start with The Colour of...
Just bought from amazon.com. An Edgar Wallace novel, The Mind of J.G. Reeder. I'm sure this has been made into a film at one time. Looking forward to reading it after I have finished my Terry Pratchett novel.
Just finished, Agatha Christie's The Hollow. A Hercule Poirot thriller.
This was a disappointment. Nothing happened except the empty chatter of the born rich for a third of the book, and Poirot didn't get into it untill half way through. No real detective work in this book.
