    Vampire Novel Recommendations

    I didn't read through the entire thread. But if you like vampire novels, Brian Lumbley (may not be spelled write) has an entire series of books called the Necroscope series. I read them way back when in the stone age. Of course, there is also Salem's Lot (Stephen King). These are the only ones...

    Oh yes, it does. Since I began writing horror, I've learned quite a bit about the genre. There are many subgenres, including some like splatter, gore, etc. These all focus on the, well, mushy-gooey-leaking-nasty stuff.     If there's anything scary about that book, it is the fact that I thought about romancing the porcelain. :eek: I haven't done that in ages...oof.. Nevertheless, nothing goes to waste; I will persevere... :o Oh, and what a friendly crowd. Hi everyone!

    Hi. Yeah, I read quite a bit. If I'm not reading a book, I'm listening to one. I wish some of my favorite authors could keep up with my appetite.. ;) It's hard to say how many per week. Fiction-wise, I don't read more than a book every week (unless it's really good). The last audio book was...

    Yes, absolutely. I am an avid horror/suspense reader, and love anything that gives me chills. However, unlike horror movies (where gore is sometimes OK), I don't want to read (or listen to) the grisly details in books. This is the case, so far, with the current audio book i'm listening to...

    If you were a writer, what genre would you write?

    Some of the first books I read scared the bejesus out of me. It was horror that drove me to writing, if that's what you want to call it. :o
