Well yeh, I'm new here *d'uh* seeing as I'm posting here. Well I haven't really read many books but I really enjoy reading and wanted to join a forum where I can see other people's recommendations for books. :)

Hi, welcome to this forum and hope you like here. What's your favourite author or book?
By the way, I like your avatar. It is nice colour. Where do you find it?

Welcome This board is very eclectic, so we'll have to know what kinds of things you like to make recommendations --

The person who was asking - my avatar I designed myself, only took me a few mins.

Books wise, I used to love Enid Blyton when I was really young (about seven or eight) and then just read bits of stuff. Everyone was into Goosebumps so I kinda followed and also read a few Malorie Blackman (I think that's right) books. Kids horror books were what I read most... they were really awful! I used to love the Horrible Histories series too.

Now I've recently got into James Herbert (I've read three of his I think) and I've also read Stephen King's The Green Mile... I will definately be reading more of his novels! Can anyone recommend books by either of these authors? I'm about to begin reading King's Dreamcatcher, although I start back at college tomorrow so it'll be hard to find the time.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

A book for you

what type of books are you interested in?
If it's legal thrillers then u should read John Grisham
If it's adventure " " Dale brown

i think misery is the best stephen king. and james herbet's fog was a good one. i hated dreamcatcher i couldnt finish it!

Where are my manners? Welcome !
Since you like King, pick up some Dean Koontz when you get the chance. I think you'll like him.
