presenting new novel

Hello,
I am a 21-year-old Austrian-born author and my novel has only recently been published by PublishAmerica, an American Company. I would like to do some promotions and I am asking for advice on promotions. I am unfortunate to live in a non-English speaking home-country and therefore promotion is not an easy task.

My novel is a mix of adventure, thriller and philosophical story. A young
American bride escapes her daily routine in America to find herself again
in an African desert, exposed to new dangers and especially to her torturing past. She suffers not only from real dangers but especially from illusions,
visions and her own fears with which she is confronted now. Finally, a nomadic tribe finds her and even saves her! However, she somehow fails
to become a real part of their way of life to which she is forced to adapt. She is in a limbo more than once. And still those nightmares and illusions......and her desire for a baby which turns out to be fatal. In the end, not only her
own life but also the life of the nomadic tribe is in danger.....................

Isn't this an exact "double-post" of your "introduction" thread to this forum?

no I think some things from the introduction were deleted. like where you get the novel and how! And i thought it might be nice to write it down here as well.
if you want, i can also post an extract of my novel here....

Sara made a gesture that she should follow her again. Outside it had gotten darker, and colder too. The crowd of people had, finally and fortunately, gone away, and there was only Leila expecting them in front of the tent. Again they were talking words in a foreign language – was it Arabic? She couldn’t imagine that it was because those people looked so different from the other Arabians she had seen. Soon, Leila addressed her in English again, “We regret that you did not sleep good. But come now, Ama Bereli is expecting you already. She is the chief of the tribe. It would be an offense if you did not see her. Come on now!” It sounded like a command and again she had the feeling that they would violate her if she refused. This respect of their chief, was it mere fear? Why was this woman so powerful, how had she gained their respect? She was a woman, she couldn’t imagine she was so strong. “Maybe she is some kind of sorceress or magician”, she thought and had to giggle again. But quickly she fell silent because they had reached the tent. She was astounded because it was the first tent in this “camp” that was a real large one. She wondered how many people might be inside and if that Ama Bereli was treated like a queen with lots of servants and helpers. “Wait outside; I will tell her that you are here”, said Leila and went in. It didn’t last long when she came out again, standing in the entrance and implying by a gesture to come in.
When she had entered the tent, the first thing she noticed was the smell – as if loads of perfume-bottles and perfumed oils had been put into the tent to enchant the people with fresh odor. It was dark inside the tent, darker than in the tent where she had slept, though there were little piles of stones with wood inside which burnt in flaring, orange and red flames. Several people were standing around, on the right and on the left (the servants), but they were hardly visible in the dark. In the middle, however, sitting on the ground and wearing a veil of smoke, which made her appearance even more mysterious, was a woman (the queen). Great surprise and astonishment, but also sudden disappointment and shock arose in her body when she got a glimpse of this person who soon would be introduced as “Ama Bereli” by one of the bystanders.

There are already books with that exact same title, and/or very close to that exact same title? It would seem to me that that would be a distinct dis-advantage.

Your book was the 11th hit at Amazon when I searched on the exact title. I had to go to the second page of listings....

Which "The Flight of the Eagle" is yours, the one with the shadow of the eagle on the sand? There seems to be a gazillion books with this title/theme...

...

Yeah I´m sorry. When I chose the title I did not even think of it......and I regret it since it is not really easy to find at Amazon.
Just enter my name "Stephan Haderer" in the box and the book appears automatically!! Yes the cover with the eagle and the desert sand on it -
since the story is set in the desert!!
I don´t know why the URL was not displayed here - are URLs allowed here?
Thank you for your interest!!!

You can put the URL in your signature, but nowhere else. I could post it. Or anyone else. Just not you. You have no rights.

I actually went through this same torture when first joining the forum. You'll learn the ropes in no time.

Tada!!!

An eagle flies over some sand in the desert...?

Congratulations, by the way. The cover artwork looks great.

Thank you!! This is so kind of you to put my novel in here!
Is it also the right forum-spot? I hope that many will see it and might read it.....I desperately need some critique by interested readers!!! from all over
the world!

thanks again.

I'm mildly curious as to what a story about an American Female, in an African Desert, written by a 21 year old Austrian Male could be like....

Publish America is basically just like lulu isn't it?

You've never seen The King Is Dead, have you?

I want to say that I was not inspired by other novels - even though some say it resembles "Dreamcatcher" a bit..which is set in the Australian outbacks.
However, I only read Dreamcatcher (and heard of it) one year after I had
finished my novel.
And there are not many similarities, I must say....
I hope you all have good fun reading!!! :)
