Does anyone else love these movies, including The Addams Family, Addams Family Reunion, and Addams Family Values? They are the best! They were actually based off a comic strip.

Wednesday Addams is the most awesomest character in the world! I wish she would have gotten her wish, and killed Pugsley. Oh, well. I can't believe they make her fall in love with that total geek in Addams Family Values! :eek:

I hope that they make more of these, but I really doubt it.

They're really not based on a comic strip, but on individual-frame cartoons by Chas. Addams, primarily published in The New Yorker and based on his real family. His humor was slyer and wryer than the movies'.

Christina Ricci was perfect as Wednesday, though overall I'm not a big fan of the movies. I think they were based more on the old TV show than the classic Charles Addams cartoons. If you've never seen the old show, try to catch some reruns. Totally sitcom kitch, though Morticia was sexy. "Mind if I smoke?" And the whole thing with Thing was more sophisticated.
 
I love the second one the best.
I like the Thanksgiving speech that Wednesday gives:
Wait, we can not break bread with you. You have taken the land which is rightfully ours. Years from now my people will be forced to live in mobile homes on reservations. Your people will wear cardigans, and drink highballs. We will sell our bracelets by the road sides, and you will play golf, and eat hot h'ors d'ourves. My people will have pain and degradation. And my Mother really loved Joan Cusack's character, especially the whole Ballerina/Malibu Barbie thing.
