You can purchase a lifetime membership for a one time cost of $25, which I think is cheaper than purchasing a membership on a yearly basis, which reverts back to a public account once the year has expired. I have a lifetime membership and like it much better than re-purchasing my membership each year.

I know. I got my current membership for free as a compensation for losing lots of books because of a database crash.

I am using listal right now, but it is going to take me a while to get everything put in there. That's what I am working on now.

It seems that books by Douglas Adams are the only ones I have in common with anybody here so far.

I've been having problems getting into the site since about 8 pm PT and was wondering if those who have a LibraryThing account are having the same problem. I really want to add a book, but it keeps saying that it will be ready in 5 to 10 mintues since I got up this morning at 5:30 PT; it was saying that it was going to be down for the evening last night and that they hoped to get it back up hopefully in the some time in the evening. I am really annoyed with the admin on LibraryThing who have provided no other explanation other than the one that they had on their site and wanted to know if others were having the same message. Please let me know!

Thanks for the links to boths sites. I checked them both out and decided to go with Listal. Currently in the process of adding all my lists, which will probably take days, but the link is in my signature if anyone wants to check it out and add me as a friend
