Looking for any books dealing with...

Hi! This may seem really random, but I'm desperate for suggestions.

I need some books (actually, lots of books) in which the main character discovers touch-telepathic abilities, or dealing with the ability to receive memory. A good example would be the Giver. The Giver deals with someone who receives memories from someone else. Does anyone know of any other books along this line? Or dealing with anything similar? It doesn't have to be a prominent part of the book, either, just in there somewhere.

Even if it deals with someone discovering a hidden power (especially telepathy) or past, someone recovering memory through dreams, anything like that, I can use it! I know there have to be some out there, but suggestions have been very sparse. Do you know of any books fitting the above description, or where I could get more suggestions?

I recently read Fear Itself by Barret Schumacher where the main character's wife can "see" the future.

I haven't read them but the Obernewtyn books by Isobelle Carmody are about a young girl with mental powers who lives in a post apocalyptic world where her kind is killed.

One of my favorite books The Three Stigmata Of Palmer Eldritch by Philip k Dick, doesn't deal with mental powers per se. But the book revolves around drugs, that transmit you into other peoples minds to live out as them while its in effect.

I do not know why but Midnight's Children pops into mind.
