Who is the best fantasy character there is? My favourite fantasy character is either Raistlin Majere (Dragonlance) or Tasselhoff Burrfoot (Dragonlance). This is because i think raistlin is just cool and tasselhoff is funny, adding humour to the sometimes dark 'lance books.

My favorite Fantasy character (and this is staying in the Fantasy genre) would probably be Shadow from American Gods - Neil Gaiman. I haven't read much in fantasy and I'm sure there are better ones. But for now, that is mine.

Minsc (and Boo, of course). The best Ranger/miniature giant space hamster duo ever.

Okay, so technically he's not literary. He's still my fav.

Yay! I've missed Minsc and Boo! They were pretty cool, weren't they - Minsc in pink, no less.

Too bad they weren't around for the sequel...

Haha, and here I thought no one would appreciate my taste.

"Come, we must press on against the tide of naughtiness. Mind your step."

The games have been made into books though. I haven't read them so I'm not sure if Boo remains but from what I've read the author made Minsc a red head.

But... but... isn't he bald??
It seems like a case of artistic freedom. The reviews on Amazon implies that the books wasn't written by a fan of the games and the books aren't exactly praised.

I bet Boo gave the author a kick in the butt then (plus took a bite of whatever cheese that was in the author's fridge)...

Fuzzfas

If we are including rpg characters I would have to say Fuzzfas from sirtech's Wizardry 8 here is my favourite quote;

"...and when they're not looking, evrythings free!"

the way he says it is halarious, if you have the game go to trynton and ask him about the Higardi.

Mine would have to be Pug from Raymond E Feist's series Magician
and the best quote from Pug is "Tremble and Despair for I am Power"

I'd have to say my favourite was Nakor from Raymond E. Feist's later Midkemia novels (from Prince of the Blood onwards). There are lots of good characters in Feist's novels - Pug, Jimmy the Hand, Prince Arutha etc. but Nakor's got to be the best. He's a very funny guy at times and has a quirky way of looking at the world.

I suppose that, Dragonlance aside, my favourite characters would be Kazaril from the Shadowleauge Series by Maggie Furey and probably Pug, because in the book we see him getting gradually more powerful, oh yes, and he is all- round cool :D
