my books wish list is 285 books long - so i'll just post the ones i want right away. mostly, these are on my "right away" list because i can't believe i haven't read them yet. lol
The Wide Sargasso Sea, Jean Rhys
Tortilla Flat, Steinbeck
Stranger in a Strangle Land, Heinlein

LMAO you're a grouchy old man in a 25 year old body!
i'm 29. yes, 29 in a 19 year old body - ok. i'll take that!
my only problem with your posts are that they're dripping with condescension.
i've been "grown up" since i was 16. they're good bands. i like a lot of different stuff but their music helps me relax, which is one of my favorite things to do.
assessing one's maturity level should be a bit more difficult than using 5 bands they like
i thought it was quite good. dakota fanning knocks my socks off, she's so talented. some scenes made me dizzy though. i'm not a big denzel washington fan, but i liked him in this role
i've read Margaret Atwood, Jean Auel, Jan Austen, Anne Rice and a few others. my list of favorite authors includes both men and women. it is true, though, that most of the books i've read are by men. my favorite genre is sci-fi and historical fiction action, and it seems mostly men write in...

The Matthew Good Band
The Tragically Hip
The Pixies
CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
The Breeders

the general concensus of where the film should have ended may not have occured to spielberg. to say they laboured for another 30 mins of film is to assume it occured to him to end it there but that he decided to stick it out longer. but if it had and that's where it ended i would have been...
I really enjoyed the movie, but the ending did somewhat ruin it for me. It's the kind of ending where I think I sort of got ripped off. Like, they could have done something better, or just flipped some stupid idea in order to end it nicely. They got lazy and just threw that in because the movie...
i think the house is adorable! it's exactly the kind i love - has great character. of course you can always paint the walls you dont like, that's nothing
you're in the same boat as my husband and i. we're going to buy a house in about 6 months and, luckily, the market here looks like it's...
i love this book, it's definitely one of my favorites. jane austen brilliantly writes about the complexities of courtship and marriage in a time when women often had to worry more about marrying for their future than for love. that aside, i think it's a timeless novel. funny and witty too
