definately
I agree completely. I think the books are definately full of wit and I loved Kazaril (i was actually quite sad when I thought Shree had killed him), but the ending was a surprise, I didn't predict that for one minute. I love the way that Maggie Furey makes us feel about her...
I am also a christian, but i read a bucketload of fantasy novels. I think that if a person reads the book and does not beleive it it is by all means, prefectly all right within religion. If a person is guillabe enough to beleive what they read, in this case HP, they don't deserve to read :D
Possibly Staged?
I don't think J.K. would have put the "glint of trumph in dubledore's eyes" bit in for no reason, Also, however unlikely it is possible that voldemort and dumbledore's duel at the end of TOOTP could have been elaborately staged.
Yes, you do have a lot of insight on the books Dermot, I didn't think the movies were substandard, no offense to anyone who likes them, I thought they were drivel- no offense. I think that it is possible that Petunia has magical powers, that would explain her knowlege of dubledore that the...
i might read it
I havent read it yet, I might thought. i know its not part of the Darren shan saga, but i thought that was well written, but I stopped reading it because I preferred to read large fantasy books
Didnt like it much
I didnt like it. It mixed something serious and impressive like final fantasy and mixed it with the light-hearted disney characters (not that I have anything against disney :D) I have not played much of the game, but this is only my opinion (at least there were moogles in...
You should, they are exactly how fantasy should be, second only to Feist. the books are called the Dragonlance Chronicles (Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night and Dragons of Spring Dawning), I just went through both my bookshelves and the 9 stacks of books dotted about my room to...
My Fav races
Out of those, K-Dawn, it would have to be the nazgul, and out of the original ones at the start of the thread it would have to be Dragons (authough it was a bit supid of Smaug to leave a weak spot over his heart :D)
The Shadowleague
I think you should try Maggie Furey's Shadowleague Series, the idea behind the books is interesting and they are well written; full of emotion, action, humor and imagination.
I can really think of any. Nothing could possibly be as good as Raymond E. Feist, but you could try The Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman or maybe the Rigante Series by David Gemmel, they're not too similar but they are alont the same lines.
Whad do you think of The Shadowleague Series By Maggie Furey? (The Heart Of Myrial, The Spirit Of The Stone and The Eye Of Eternity) How does it compare to the Artifacts Of Power? I do not know if these books are available in the USA though.
