No party for the Abc Ranchhouse Gang. Mom and Pop Abc are still sick with the Cold From Hades.. I am still wanting to do a Harry Potter movie marathon; been awhile..
How's the weather in your area today? We're finally getting that snow they predicted for Christmas Eve...sure is pretty.
Sometimes, we did last year, as we were at a party..left to our own devices, Mr.Abc and I usually shrug at 11 pm and figure it's already New Years on the East Coast, so we can hit the hay already..we're so uncool.
Is New Years Day a special day or just a day to sleep in?
Mr Abc and I are both sick with Colds from Hades, so we're in semi hibernation mode today. You know the man is sick when he willing let me subject him to three episodes of Warehouse 13..in a row.
The only one that has survived is just the use of my first and middle name by certain cousins and my aunt. They say they take their cues from my late mother, who usually did that too. It was partially a Southern thang, I think.
( I do wish they'd learn to spell my first name though. It's not...

All ready for Christmas?

How is your health these days, since it seems so many cold and flu bugs are circulating amongst the general population?
Net surfing...clearly an offspring of my reading vice.
Anything interesting going on today? I have to grocery shop, take a son to traffic court, make dinner, and get to a church meeting by 6:30 pm.
Whenever we put up the tree..this year we waited til the weekend after thanksgiving, when we had all the kids here for a special dinner.

The Foxfire books are good resources, although they are not specially about depression-era Appalachia. They are chock-full of stories, recipes, and how- tos on all aspects of Appalachian life in the old days. The folks featured in the books were depression survivors so if you want to know how...
Yes, I do love my mini van. Last two family vehicles were 15 passenger vans..this is a great step in the right direction! I really love the fold down back seats. I can haul lots of groceries or two bicycles with ease, and this is a great little mini-moving van.
How about you? Do you love your car?
I make hats all the time...let's see in my personal collection I have three different tams..which are nothing but beanies with flair:lol: I'm currently crocheting a slouchy beanie for my oldest daughter, and it's kicking my butt; this is the third time I've started it. Not starting it again. It...
Eureka! Son Ethan went looking in big sister's dresser for hidden movies and found my Kindle under a movie. I suppose I should yell at him for snooping in sister's stuff, but....:whistling:
