You bet I would! (Ps: some people look forward to football season so they can knit or crochet while watching the game)
Anything interesting planned this week?
No. My current favorite is a chopping knife I got at a garage sale as part of a large collection of steak knives. For three dollars I came home with 12 steak knives, a pairing knife, and this 'My, that's sharp' chopper. I love garage sales:flowers:
Best thrifting deal in recent memory?
Yes. I want to find the one about the knitter. Her 'helpers' made her toss all but one or two sets of needles and a handful if yarn. I want to yell at them and call them names. OTH, I use this show to keep myself in line..
What sort of things do you collect that might net you a Hoarders style...
Depends on location: farm or large rural property, 10 or so..house or apartment, three. But I can't stand them in the house due to allergies, so it is good I'm not in charge.
Same question, but dog-centered..
I've always liked the term, Road Trip. For us, that means a car trip farther than Emporia or Salina Ks...
Are you watching out for deer this time of year?
If we do, something in the atmosphere will alter us and turn us into 'little green men', who will try to go back to Earth, only to find themselves hurled through a wormhole that lands them back 100 years or more before that colonization effort..thereby creating the 'little green men' myth.
Do...
Yes...They're 26 years old; I'm hoping dh will let me purge them soon. I can't remember the last time anyone used them for something besides making tents in the basement.
Would you keep such a set or send them packing and use the shelf space for more up to date books?
I get horrible heartburn with certain foods, particularly cucumbers and watermelon. Of course, I LOVE watermelon:innocent:
(Good choice on the chili; I made a triple batch this morning..took some to Mr. Abc's work for a shindig there)
Same question
I'm torn: one one hand, I want to learn to knit well enough to knit socks.. and on the other, I want to learn to can meat and produce. I think I have a better shot at the latter; knitting needles have it in for me..
Dinner: Homemade chili or Cheesy Potato Soup?
Why, were they all married?:innocent: No, really.. I didn't know that. But I do wonder why the lack..I've known some pretty smart black ladies in my time.
One skill you'd like to learn before you kick the bucket?
Tired...too hungry makes fatigue worse. So if I'm really tired, eating something sometimes helps.
Are you interested in genealogy?(Just had a nice talk about family history with two of my sons)
Hey Muggle! So glad to see you posting today! Funny you should jump in and talk about A.B. Guthrie; just this morning I came across his name while reading the latest Bookmarks magazine, and I was thinking I need to read his trilogy. Perfect timing!
Changing a toxic diaper without dramatic gagging and acting like the world should take notice, for starters...
Should I shred and freeze the zucchini I bought yesterday, or take the time to bake and freeze zucchini bread now for Thanksgiving?
