This was one of my better months :)

Chop_Chop, how do you like Jonathan Strange? I've been...
My first attempt was a story about seven wild dogs who lived in a cave and had lots of happy adventures. This later spawned an epic series of the same story. I wrote a biography for each of the dogs and got up to DOGS 6 on the real story. It was...quite interesting. I was about 8 years old. And...
Okay, so I have this recurring dream that I'm in an elevator. But it's out of control. It shoots up so fast that I have to cling to the floor and when it goes down, I "fall" up to the ceiling. Very uncomfortable. I always try in my dreams to avoid the elevator, but I end up getting on it anyway...
Wow...6 in the morning?
I think the latest I've stayed up is about 2:30. After awhile I get so tired I just can't focus and I find myself reading the same paragraph over and ovet yet not absorbing any of it. That's when I find it's time to put the book down.
I think both Terry Goodkind...
I'm not kidding. I was in the area and the bookstore I worked for had flyers for it. So, I went. I was there. It actually wasn't THAT awesome. There were these huge boxes of books and every book was $1. Most of them were non-fiction things I've never heard of, but there was a hardback edition of...
Thanks for the article! I didn't get the chance to read the whole thing but I bookmarked it and will continue at a later time :)
Keith Richards and Johnny Depp starring together...I'd have never guessed.
So, has anyone here seen the latest installment of the pirate saga? I saw it a couple hours ago with some friends and I actually thought it was pretty good. I saw 'actually' because all the critics in my city gave it around 1 1/2 stars. Sure, it won't be up for an oscar (except maybe for special...
Okay, I did that but it still says I'm subscribed to 145 threads
I just spent a few minutes checking all the boxes next to my subscribed threads and deleted them 40 at a time. Hopefully that will solve things. If not...we'll figure that out when it's necessary
Thanks, Occlith!
So, I'm getting about 15 emails a day notifying me of new replies to threads I've responded to. How do I make them stop? There MUST be an option somewhere to turn it off...maybe I just haven't looked hard enough
Anyway, thanks!
I'm guessing it was one of those assingments where you get to pick any book and then present it to class. With limits of course. I can easily see Deception Point being chosen over Rainbow Party which msnbc summarazies as 'teens planning for an o**l s*x party. Ummm....why is this in the teen...
I'm 17 as of yesterday :)
I read mostly fantasy. My favorite authors are George R.R. Martin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brandon Sanderson, Stephen King, Tamora Pierce...I could go on for awhile.
I tend to stay away from the 'teen' sections of bookstores just because the books there are so DULL. I never...
Granted but it's actually an evil-demon-Samoyed puppy and the first day you get it, it mauls you in your sleep. You only half your face though! Look at the bright side.
I wish finals were a figment of the imagination.
I think the books are amazing though Stewart has a point that they are a bit dry at times. I enjoyed his style of writing but it's not something that I'd want to read everyday. I still have 3 copies of the series though. One leatherbound hardback omnibus. One paperback omnibus. And one...
Yep, it was Deathly Hallows. You're all probably going to hate me for saying this, but I kinda hope Harry dies. I really like tragic endings (are you with me Hamlet? ;)). I'm not saying I want Voldemort to take over the world. He should die too. And then Ron and Hermy should get married. If...
I used to keep a book journal in which I wrote down favorite passages, characters..etc. I haven't written in the journal for about 3 months but reading everyone's opinions, I think I might take it up again.
Well, Tolkien doesn't say outright that Frodo dies, but I suppose you could use the Gray Havens as a metaphore for death. That's how I interpret it. Just a glorified version of death. I always cry at the end of the Return of the King (both book and movie).
I have read both Eragon and Eldest and enjoyed them. I think Eragon was better, but that's usually the way books in a series run. The last I heard, the final book is expected around summer of 2008. Too long! I just watched the movie for the third time and I have to agree with all of you that it...
I just read the first novel of this series and really liked it. I can't wait to start the sequel. But as my funds are limited, I'm going to have to wait until I get a little more $$
Harry is such an awesome character. Maybe he can come to my school and figure out the mystery of the nun that...
