I've come across my own first name two times already, but I've never come across the combination of first and last names of anyone I know.
I could've sworn there was a thread like this, but I can't find it anywhere.
It seems to me that all series either slow down, turn into crap, etc. somewhere down the line. I liked the first Auel novel well enough, I enjoyed reading the first couple of Dark Tower novels, but it just goes downhill, doesn't it?
If I have to really pick a series, I'd go for Douglas...
The last show I went to was Rise Against, A Wilhelm Scream and Berri Txarrak in September. Next in line will probably not be until January. I just can't find the time these days... And there aren't that many bands I like playing here.
No, I'm afraid my heart is not very meltable. I cannot remember a movie where I've cringed so much and felt so ashamed for the characters. Definitely one for the books, hehe.
I should read more, but I honestly can't find the time anymore... :(
Haruki MURAKAMI: The Wind-up Bird Chronicle;Ryūnosuke AKUTAGAWA: Rashomon and Other Stories;Michael CHABON: Summerland;Neil GAIMAN: Anansi Boys.
I enjoyed The Wind-up Bird Chronicle and Anansi Boys, but Rashomon and Summerland...

I read Rashomon and Other Stories and I have to say I was disappointed by it. Maybe the editor picked the wrong stories* or maybe the translation bothered me, but it just didn't seem to work for me. Some of the stories Stewart mentioned did sound interesting though, so maybe I should give...
A couple of months ago, I bought Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys on sight. I thought it was probably going to be a disappointment (the preview I'd read hadn't done much for me), but it was a 3 for 2 kind of thing, so I went for it anyway. The book ended up sitting on my shelf for quite a few months...
They're OK... I won't switch off the radio when they're on and I wouldn't mind watching them at a festival, but I wouldn't invest money in it either, CD- or concertwise.
I'll join in, I guess. I'd love to be part of the statistics. ;)
