    Och, if only!

A Bit of (Stephen) Fry and (Hugh) Laurie

My brother got me the complete Jeeves and Wooster set and I'm really looking forward to watching it -- I've never seen any of the episodes, but I like Wodehouse, Fry and Laurie, so there shouldn't be a problem.

    McLeod's Daughters

We get it in Belgium. I watched it from time to time but it gets old quickly.

Your future at TBF - Poll

I agree wholeheartedly with Novellas #1 through to #4. #5 isn't like me at all.

    Strings

Thanks, but I really don't need more information. I just want to see the movie. ;)

    Strings

I missed it when they were playing it in Belgium, but they're showing it at the film festival here next week, so I'm hoping I'll be able to catch it this time around. I bought my festival pass already, but still...

    imprecise language

I'm studying abroad right now along with quite a few other foreigners. Since the language of instruction is English and English is pretty much the only language we have in common (I can understand the French, the Dutch and the German though) we all try our very best to speak proper English...

Susanna Clarke: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

I started reading this (the paperback costs only 990 ISK here!) a couple of days ago and I'm really enjoying myself. I'm not going through it as fast as I would go through some other novels though... I'm taking my time with this one.

    Margaret Atwood

    Margaret Atwood

It took me about a year to finally start reading this book, but once I started, I couldn't really stop. I think when I get home I might just go on an Atwood spree. (If I have any money left, that is.)

    Margaret Atwood: Oryx And Crake

Oh thanks. Will bump it in a moment. ;)

Audrey Niffenegger: The Time Traveler's Wife

I would think that's the case too.

    Margaret Atwood: Oryx And Crake

I'm not sure you could call me a fan of her work, but I am intrigued by her writing, I have to admit. Do you perhaps have some more suggestions? Thanks! I am thoroughly enjoying it, though it's a bit on the expensive side.

    Margaret Atwood: Oryx And Crake

I thought there'd been more Atwood talk on this forum, but apparently not that much?

    Foreign vs. domestic films

Ah, I think I misinterpreted what you were saying then. Last wednesday. It's nice here. Not half as cold as I'd imagined. And hardly any rain!

    Margaret Atwood: Oryx And Crake

That's why I'd like to get back to it, because I'd see things differently now I think. And our library didn't have a young adult section, so by the time I'd read everything on the children's shelves, I had to make the leap. ;)

    Margaret Atwood: Oryx And Crake

So I finished the book yesterday and I æust say I don't seem to have any answers myself.
