Daaahling, as Salman Rushdie said in a NPQ interview, "The Davinci Code is crap." And bad writing makes for bad reading. :eek: The book reads like a dime store novel or as if it was written by a 4th grader aspiring to become a writer. It is possible for a book to be accessable and well written...

Its a shame the film didn't get good reviews. That may have stopped others from seeing it.

Dark Water - great film.

The Great Mortality by John Kelly. Excellent and very accessable book about the 14th century pandemic.

Syriana. Great film by the writer/director of Traffic.

Dracula with Frank Langella. Definitely the hottest Dracula of all time! I kept sliding off the couch while watching it.;) First saw it when I was a teen; second time around was much better.

Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. Social History at its best!

For me it was Canterbury Tales (untranslated). I have to study more Middlge English before I can tackle it again.
