I'm reading Jonathan Maberry's Ghost Road Blues which is the first in a 3 book series. Just good old fashion horror story and I like it so far.
I read all the books out in the Dies the Fire and while it starts of interesting he just keeps dragging things out.
Second the Firekeeper series. The books get a little weak later on but the first couple are pretty good.
Dragon Riders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. Ton of books in that series.
An Introduction to Anne McCaffrey's Pern
Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver Yet another series. I only read the 1st of...
King "The Stand"
Koontz "Watchers" and "Twilight Eyes"
McCammon "Swan Song" and "The Wolf's Hour"
Lumley's Necroscope series is my favorite series so far although Martin's Song of Ice and Fire could pass it if he ever gets off his fat ass and finishes it.

That has a suggested order and a chronological order listed over on the left. I think I pretty much went with the suggested order when I read it but since the books take place at many different times and a lot aren't really connected to others you can jump...

Might give those a try. Pretty much the opposite of Narnia on religion but still a good story. Pretty light on the sex stuff though.
I've read the first 5 Dresden book and just thought they were all right before stopping. I may go back and finish it at some point but the newer series sounds interesting. I'll add them to my list.
Wolf's hour is my favorite of his and turned me into a werewolf junky. I still need to pick up the sequel to Nightbird. Nightbird wasn't one of my favorites but it wasn't bad and the medical stuff was interesting.
Koontz's Odd series hasn't been bad but I wish he would go back and finish...
Jane Lindskold
Through Wolf's Eyes 6 book series
I've read the first 5 of those and liked them. I don't remember any sex scenes or anything ultra violent. It has magic and smart animals but not dragons really or elves and crap.
Dragon Riders of Pern series
Lots of dragons and lots 20+...
Saw it over the weekend. I didn't think the movie itself was all the great but our theater did have it in 3D and that more them made up for it. 3D has come a long way since the last flick I saw with it.
Both but if I can get the book from the library I usually do. If I bought every book I read I'd be broke and wouldn't be able to afford the second house I would need to buy just to store books.
The Blake books only go to hell around book 8 when she turns into super whore. Before that they are good stupid entertainment. Her latest one #16? actually had a plot which is a first in a while.
