Man, y'all are all reading heavy stuff! I tend toward reading brain candy type stuff most of the time. My reading list typically consists of whatever comes up on my hold list at the library.
I am doing a reading challenge at another board I'm on, so I am trying to pick books that fit those...
That is absolutely true! In the last year, my DD has FINALLY gotten on board the reading train and she will actually opt to get a book and read rather than playing on the computer or watching TV on occassion. Just warms my little reading obssessed mom's heart.
What this means to me - a Kindle owner who is notoriously cheap - is that if the prices of new releases go up, then I'll just go back to waiting for the lower priced digital copy of the paperback. If I absolutely HAVE to read the book right away, I'll probably get a copy from the library.
I see that James Patterson and Harlan Coben have been recommended - I have to agree with those. I'd also recommend John Sanford's Prey series. You don't necessarily have to read them in order, but you get the benefit of the character development.
If he wants good recommendations for good...
We've had some really hard times at my house this last year, and I haven't given up my books. I am only buying used ones or ones that I can't get at the library though. But give them up? Heck no.
I had heard that she had a new book coming out. I enjoyed The Historian, but felt that she needed a better editor because parts of it just drug on too long. I'll definitely read her new one.
Howdy! New to this forum, but certainly not new to reading. I typically read mysteries - alternating between, cozies, thrillers and historical mysteries. But I also like to read historical fiction with the odd history book tossed in here and there.
Looking forward to hanging out here on...
