    Just started Edgar Wallace's The Four Just Men.His first of 200 thrillers written in 1920. Great success. Got two books from the library today Bullitt. by Robert L. Pike. Made into a film staring, Steve McQueen. And CSI Miami. Jeff Mariotte. The basis for a TV thriller series.

    Just finished "The Anatomy of Crime." by Joseph F. Dinneen. This book is a honey,a reconstruction of the Brinks robbery in America which netted $2,500,000. Not to be mistaken with the Matt Brinks robbery in england.

    Recently sent for "The Ringer." By EdgarWallace. Remember reading it when I was about 11. Loved it. Still waiting for it to arrive. About to start another E.Wallace today. "Good Evans" published in 1930. Probably send for "The Four Just Men." Also by him.

    Suggest just one book to read.

    Litany! I agree with you one hundred pecent. Alexandre Dumas is a great adventure writer. Along with Sir Walter Scott and Daniel Defoe, you can't beat them for high adventure. I fear that the younger generation miss out on reading these great literary giants.

    Mark Twain

    I have this book, it is great. Been years since I have read it, but anything of Mark Twain is terrific reading. This is a book you can dip into though, rather than read it right through.

    Trying to read a Dalziel and Pascoe thriller but going to sleep and I am not 200 pages into it. I usually love these books, but this one is just boring. Readers Digest would have condensed it to 200 pages and made it interesting. But as it is,it just sends you to sleep. It is On Beulah Hights.

    Who is your favourite author, and why?

    Axisage. I'm sure you will enjoy all of Ed Mc Bain's 87th precinct novels. There used to be a tv series based on his novels which was great also. Like an early, Homicide life on the Streets.
