    incest novels

Wouldn't say it is different, lies. If you've got this particular problem by all means get help--victim or perpetrator. But (IMHO) this is a book discussion web site not a support group. Again IMHO its not the kind of thing that lends itself to discussion in a forum like this, even though...

    Books for Step Families?

Joseph (In the Bible) was a step-dad. Thats the only one I can think of. I do know it takes a lot of love for that to work out.

What are you reading - March/April?

I bought a new (to me) Heinlein, "Time Enough for Love," and the first of Terry Brooks Shanarra series--its a tome, I'm telling you--I'll start one of them soon. And I'm currently reading Bonhoeffer's "The Cost of Discipleship," which has so far proved to be the most challenging.

    incest novels

Books I read as a child

Isn't there also a children's book series called Barbar or something like that. I remember elephants, one of them had a crown... I can't remember if they ever did hang gliding or not. (Or, how they overcame the weight issues without a gigantic hanglider :) )

Are you following the war in Iraq?

We've had it on CNN most of the time. Morning or late Evening as we don't want the kids overly exposed to it. In a side note, for which I might get rebuked, I don't think that war can be illegal as any sovereign state has the right to wage war at any time.

Its a bit one sided...isn't it? I remember when I was a kid you could dial your own number, hang up, and the phone would ring. No kidding.

    Greg Bear: Forge of God

Overkill, IMHO. It's possible that they had come across some planets who could defend against that sort of attack. Probably they were sitting up there thinking: man, this is a cakewalk. Could have thought we were disguising our true technology level?
