Why give 'labels' to music?
I love some country - I hate some country. Have you heard Willie Nelson doing On the Road Again? No-one could hate that could they?
I love something of every type - except opera.:( :)
It seems like we all have different hates. :)
Cell-phones seem to be our most common hate. But I'll bet you all have one.;)
I haven't:cool:
I really hate people talking about their pets now.
Is it worse than talking about their children?
Today my pet hate is...
I used to mock people who claimed to have read and enjoyed this great book.
Pretentious prats are some of the words I used.
Then I picked up a copy at a boot sale, so I thought I'd try reading it before mocking anyone else.
It's The Bodley Head Ltd. and says This new edition entirely...
Midnight Cowboy was on telly again last night.
I watched it for about the tenth time. It's still one of favourites. It stands the test of tIME FOR ME ( I SPILT COFFEE ON THE CAPS LOCK YESTERDAY :( :) )
THE BOOK IS MUCH DARKER THAN THE FILM> ANYONE ELSE LOVE IT?
My hates for today are -
Drivers who don't go faster when you drive on their rear bumper.
People who think it's funny to list their pet's hates in this thread.
People who talk about their pets - we don't want to know.
I'm with you pinkshadow on the baby carriages - what's wrong with...
ionsI hate when people mask their shower inactivity with deodurants and perfumes. Just shower ya dirty jerk.
I hate people who bitch about being in poor physical condition then make fun of me for going to the gym.
We appear to have a difference of opinion here. You are hating the people I...
Tell us your pet hates. We'll discuss and see whether they should go in.
Today mine's joggers, keep fitters and people who shower a lot. Have they not heard of deodorant?
I go anywhere I fancy anytime I like.
My favourite places are Greenwich Village in the late 1950's hanging around with the beatniks and London in 1890 being best buddies (in a non-biblical way!) with Oscar Wilde's jet-set crowd.
Don't you think this is wonderful idea?
How's about praise for SFG75 for setting up this soothing thread?
I can't remember anyone's name, but there are some great members here.
A big X for everyone.:)
Ms Charles Bukowski is God in my book. He's not really one of the 'beats' although his name does get linked to them.
It's a shame because this will put a lot of people off him. Try Post Office, Factotum, Tales of Ordinary Madness. They are very good.
Well! That's not a question that's going to get interesting answers is it?
If we had to go and meet Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts or Lassie for a bit of afternoon delight - we'd hardly be doing this instead. Would we?
William Burroughs. Insane garbage.
Jack Kerouac - apart from his looks and voice.;)
Audrey Niffenger (thanks for the reminder Optimist.)
Paulo Coelo.
Charles Dickens - apart from his films.:)
William Shakes*******pere. Dated over-verbose verbage.
The Last Unicorn. Peter S Beagle. It's about Unicorns mostly, but they have every other fantasy animal in it.
It's been made into a film, I haven't seen that but the book is great.
Anyone reading this who's into fantasy and never read him - please do so he's fantastamagorrical.
A Fine...
OOH! Valkyrie you'll be sadly missed when you die from anthrax or Bubonic plague or something worse which is always left in Ann Rice books.
Hope you get to read them first.
Only joking - or am I?
