    Bad habits!

I must say that there is a difference between abusing a book and reading it. I can buy a book new, read it and probably be able to sell it as new. I love books too much to do anything nasty to them. It;s like eating with a loved one and strapping one of those trays over ther chests whilst...

    Concentration while reading

I agree with blueboatdriver - screw the stretching breathing crap... READ! NOTHING gets in the way of my reading. The one who leaves funny little hairs about the upstairsbathroom tells me that a nuclear bomb could go off and I'd still be standing there reading.

    Hi! I'm new!

I, too, found it when I googled. Welcome. It IS fun and it IS addicting. I'm at work... my patient is waiting for the neuro. I should be chatting with him not posting in here! Shhh! Don't tell.

    Bad habits!

I agree, sanyuja, television rots the brain! I tape a few shows during the week and watch them Friday night. That's the only night I don't read at least 2 hours (never mind lunchtimes, mornings, etc.).

    Bad habits!

My only bad habit it trying to do EVERYTHING whilst reading a book. I cook, eat, walk (sometimes) chop vegies, empty the dishwasher, etc. I drop things including my book a lot because I cannot do the other job with only the hanh that isn't clasping the book.

    Stephen King

Thanks Libra! I like pulp crime. As a matter of fact, I am reading *gasp* a Lawrence Block AGAIN! The stuff has a great movement to it.

    "dag"

Does the name mean anything? You know like my daughter's name means "Child of God" ... and no, I didn't name her that because of what it means.

    Supersize Me

It repulsed most I spoke to.

    Supersize Me

I watched it! Made my daughter change her eating habits! I don't eat Maccas anyway since I'm obsessed with my weight. I think it's sad that it's gone as far as it has! The obesity levels are immense. There's even a new fatty liver type disease found in the obese. Looks like an alcoholic's liver...

Amazon loves me more because I have a Gold Box which tries to sell me discounted items that don't even remotely resemble what I purchase. I shall try. Please private message me if you see a deal so I don't miss any deals. I'll have to see if those two movies shock me. I am rather unshockable.

Thanks bobby. Any idea where one can pruchase such things. If it's TAHT obscure, I'll have a tough time finding it here, however, I LOVE shopping online!

    "dag"

Ah well. Maybe you can incorporate it into your daily language. Hey, my brother who is a cop, loves the word "Wanker" and says he calls crims that quite often. Wanker is not used widely in the US.

The one who likes weeding other people's gardens and I rented "The Exorsist - The Beginning" and "Monster". Both were ok. I really like horror flicks but I haven't seen a good one for awhile. I have to agree with Hay... The Day After Tomorrow was awful! I'm a movie freak so I'm always...

    "dag"

Hi. I've been in Australia for so long that I've forgotten whether or not the word "dag" is used elsewhere. If so, what are the uses. Dag - "lock of wool clotted with dung about the hinder parts of sheep" and "extraordinary or amusing person". Also, in our household and amongst our...

    Defined by our job

I am glad you like them. In real life, I call him Scrawn and he calls me Beautiful. And then of course we bastardise them, make them into rap artist names like SkrahwnEe (the sixth Spice Girl of, course. He plays the triangle).
