I'm with you on that one Renee! Just think, here you can read reviews to books in a fraction of the time a complete book would take, therefore meaning you don't actually have to read any books in order to enjoy them ;) (not that I'm condoning such actions, nope, not me)
Anyway, welcome to the...
Here's a point I'd like to raise: Whilst it is lovely that in this day & age there are still some men who hold doors open for women, I am astounded by the number of women who on the one hand complain about not being treated equally & then on the other hand complain because they are. (I know no...
Must confess I tend to hold doors for people too - regardless of gender. Though in the situation you originally mentioned I would have simply seen who reached the door first.
I did enjoy reading that piece & thought there was some clever observation in there.
Saying that, I can see where Novella is coming from regarding the difficulties you may face getting published.
It just makes me want to go off adventuring, I particularly liked one story about someone arranging a trip where all their friends went to the same city (I think it was Paris), but rather then meeting up the idea was to all have seperate holidays & compare notes & photos when they returned.

"I'm so glad you agreed to come out with me, it's ages since I was last laid"
"Did I tell you about the time I was abducted by aliens?"
"Don't tell anyone, but I'm a secret agent for the government"

I watched the english version, which I really enjoyed at the time, but have been really disappointed by an article in last week's Sunday Times.
The article in question was an interview with the person who won & it revealed just how much of a total charade certain parts of the show were...
As Cathy C has already said, the earth does seem to undergo certain cycles of environmental change, however research suggests that temperatures have been increasing more rapidly since the industrial revolution (the point when carbon dioxide started being released into the atmosphere at a much...
I was reading New Scientist today & came across an article I thought might be of interest:
How do people feel about this? Is this a mass violation of human rights or something which is merely protecting the public at large?
I've been doing some first class research that might help you with your book - I've consulted the bloke down the pub, so I now know everything about secret societies!
So did I Jen, but seems Stewart doesn't believe in that
For your piece of mind Stewart - the bit about moderator logs is in the statistics section http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/htm
Edit to say this was a cross-post with Stewart's - sorry!
