I get a lot of my books from the library and will use the receipt they give me. If I have nothing I try to remember the page number. At times it works, but at times it is a disaster
I might just have to do that. I haven't got into playing that game. I was playing Words with Friends, but I get bored easily with such things. I will be "addicted" for a few days/weeks and then need a change.
We just recently got the 2 laptops when we complained we couldn't get our documentation done with only one desktop. Now we are all "high-tech" with wireless in the office. Woo hoo! LOL
I don't have a desk. I share an office with 6 desks and all of staff is there. We aren't at a desk that often, so we don't have assigned desks. We have one desktop and 2 laptops between the seven of us. It is uncommon, but that is what we counselors work with. Welcome to a non-profit...
"What Alice Knew: A Most Curious Tale of Henry James and Jack the Ripper" by Paula Marantz Cohen :stars3:
I enjoy reading about Jack the Ripper, so this was of interest to me. Not a book I am "jumping up and down" to recommend to everyone

I thoroughly enjoyed his books. They were written from such a fresh perspective in my opinion. I felt that the graphic nature of them lent more to the passion behind the writing. I have seen the first movie from Sweden. I heard the American version is more graphic. I would like to see the second...
I find that his books, in general, are too similar to one another. I am one that insists on finishing the series of Alex Cross because I did start it. There are so many similarities though. The same plot is repeated. I also noticed this with his other series as well. It almost seems like he just...
He is a favorite of mine. I like Scarpetta and all, but there is a piece of Marino that I can't help to like more. Perhaps it is the idea that he needs other humans to help him and therefore he seems a bit more "real" to me. He is not a pompous character, yet recognizes his unique skills.
