    SMTP is a way to send e-mail from a server... the ESMTP ID is kind of like a social security number for the mail server in question.

    ESMTP = Enhanced Simple Mail Transport Protocol. The ESMTP ID usually has a hexidecimal value. It's complicated.

    If you are having trouble finding an e-mail, post office, or home address for an author, most likely they do not want to be contacted.

    I voted no, but not because you were a good employee... that I wouldn't know. I do know that family and health come first, and firing you for such things would be immoral. If this "problem" turned into something more regular (or predictable), then I would fire you.
