Well that's a bummer. I liked them because I thought the set the standard for grundge music. Afterwards it seems like we had a bunch of copycat trying to sound like Bush.
Michael Connelly's Lost Light. Another excellent book by him and this one was really emotional as I don't get caught up in it but when I finished it I had some teary eyes. :stars5:
I'm looking forward to The Scarecrow. Mike Connelly is one of my favorite author.
I was curious about Vanished. I read Joseph Finder's Power Play and didn't like it one bit. Vanished and Power Play both got great reviews but I quit on him after Power Play because I thought the writing...
I usually don't buy books unless I intend to read it again and again like looks such Lord of the Rings.
It's like movies and music, if you plan on buying it you better grab it the first week because that's usually the big promotion to get while it's on sale before it goes up to regular price.
I have the Office and every season of Everybody Loves Raymond. That show was great. My wife has every season of Golden Girls.
Banocanut,
I agree with your statement about Heroes. The first season was fantastic with edge of your seat thriller suspense. It was intially written for one...
Hey Abecedarian, I'm glad you're enjoying the book. Since you are half way through, it's only going to get better from there. Enjoy the climatic scene.

Do you have to read Sharp Objects before you read Dark Places?
I remember seeing this book in the Entertainment Weekly magazine a while back but never really thought much of it because I haven't found a book that EW did a review on that I liked.
I finished Harlan Coben's Tell No One last night. First I have to say that the story takes a while to build up but the last 60 pages it gets really good. I thought there were some plot holes but that's okay because I enjoyed it and enjoyed the ending. I kept you guessing until the last page...
Thank goodness somebody else agrees.
IMO, that book is vastly overrated. While I managed to finish it, I didn't think it was anything special. It's the reason I haven't read the second or third book.
For me, if it doesn't grab my attention half way through the book, then I'm finished...
I was wondering if there is a way you can click on the thread and have it go the the post where you last read and pick up from that post and read all the posts replied after that. Every time I click on a thread it starts from the beginning and I have to click on the last page all the time then...
I agree with this statement. I'm a little over two hundred pages in out of 330 and have to say that I've been disappointed. I've only picked him up because of the hype surrounding him. I will finish Tell No One and try one more of his book so hopefully his other one will be better than this...
I don't have any comment on this but I noticed you are reading True Blue from David Baldacci. I wanted to say that was probably Baldacci's worst book. I lost interested halfway but kept going and about 100 pages left I quit because I had enough of it. I'm going to try and finish it down the...
Blood Work is really good. It was my first Connelly book and it got me hooked ever since.
Edit: Blood Work is ten times better than the movie. Hollywood changed a lot of the book around and left out one main character too.
