Gem, you are confused. If you read between the lines of my double entendre, I was trying to find a clever way to introduce the topic of Dr. Karen Horney, one of Freuds many disciples who deserted, and supposedly the first woman in German to earn an M.D., but I would need to research that...
Combined threads about full Mailboxes
Cant think of any other way to let you know.
What I find helpful is to use the wonderful PM feature of downloading all messages to a text file. I save them in a folder dedicated to TBF messages. Then I just delete all messages. This technique allows you...
Yes, thats exactly what I mean. It might be fun. I attemted to do it in a thread today, using the spoiler tag. Inside I wrote: thought bubbles.... I must find a way to communicate with these people. My next post shall broach the subject of flatulence.
So, people have to "scratch" the spoiler...
My point is, you create an email address just for forum use... like i could go to yahoo and create turkey_pedagogue@yahoo.com (I am sure that one is not taken.) Then...I give it to forum friends... instead of PM. No one knows anything about me because of that email... and if in 6 months I am...
Helpful Hints From Hacker-Heloise
If you are curious about the codes that someone has used in a post, to achieve a certain effect, you can click on QUOTE, and then examine the actual codes in the buffer. It is not necessary to actually post the quote.
Don't forget, folks. You can always sign up for a free yahoo, or hotmail or other free email account, and have the convenience of e-mail, but maintain your confidentiality. Also, I have seen discussions about the ability of webmasters to read PMs, but I have no details on this, and I only...
I think some attempt should be made to impliment in bbcode something of a cross between a spoiler and a quote, like a thought bubble, which would be like a theatrical "aside" to the audience, perhaps combined with a variety of icons to choose from.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! All this talk of bondage is making me horney, (and I don't mean Dr. Karen Horney, pronounced horn-eye, with the stress on the final syllable.)
A psychiatrist once remarked to a yogi that all religion is repressed sexuality. The yogi retorted that all sexuality is repressed religion. But since everything is ultimately political, including anarchy, then I suppose both the psychiatrist and the yogi were mistaken.
And since everything...
I myself prefer e-mail. There are no small limits (unless you message 20 gigs worth). And, MSN, Yahoo, and AIM are handy messengers. Between those two, forum pm comes in as a last resort.
But, everyone has their reasons for what they will and will not do, and what they prefer.
But...
I have always admired marving missiles. Now, at last, I have given birth to a marving thread.
But why the POLITICS of Derrida. The business on forgiveness has nothing to do with politics (unless you are trying to forgive and your name is Hillary, in which case it become political).
But...
I have discovered that the e-mail feature in the profiles works. I have enabled mine. Anyone who has a sincere interest in discussing something regarding religion or politics seriously and in depth (topics that might not fit in with forum rules) is welcome to email me. I will do my best to...
Motokid: If you have some genuine interest, I will find that book and email you some excerpts, and we may discuss via email. Forum rules would not sit well with discussing such a book and such a topic. But I am certainly willing if there is some sincere interest. That is, if you can stand my...
Tonight, I will find that book on my self, and post the ISBN number and the name of the author, and perhaps you can read it, and consider these questions. I wish I knew how to solve the worlds problems, but I do not. I cant even seem to find a literary forum where I am accepted. That shows how...
The entire book, which I have at home, by a former archebishop of Canterbury, which presents us on the title page with Derrida's quotation, has on its cover a photo of an atomic bomb mushroom. It then proceeds to discuss forgiveness in the context of seemingly unforgivable things like genocide...
I learned of Derrida's quote from a book on forgiveness, by a former Archbishop of Canterbury, which had a mushroom cloud on the cover, and in in the preface quoted Derrida, regarding forgiveness.
Well, I shall certainly think twice about anything I post, knowing how people feel about me...
I feel I have done absolutely nothing wrong. I cannot afford to have attorneys review my every post. I feel sorry that some of you are the way you are and feel the way you do, but sorry is different from an apology. If you want to attack and persecute me, there is absolutely nothing I can do...
When life give you lemons, make lemonade.
Life has give me you, all of you, here, for now. And life has give me to you. I can tell how thrilled you are. I have suggested what might be a worthwhile discussion.
If the agenda is to complain and find fault, then any suggestions at positive...
Peder: I know the life stories of many SJC graduates from the sixties. I shall give a summary account of their diversity, changing names to protect the guilty (the innocent need no protection).
I shall return...
... again and again...
One cannot generalize and assume, for example...
