Remember always telling everyone possible I would never do that, that books were to be respected and revered ... until I realised that my favourite of the time (The Name of the Rose, U. Eco, 5 reads) had a good 15 pages...
definite need of 'good' cover....: which include origianl title and pictures... personally am very pricky on pictures.
've been blocked fron reading Harry Potter so far because I think the overs are too simplistic and have often ended up in bying books just because covers were looking great...

Saw the movie again yesterday.
Excellent in my point of view: cast, music, pictures, triggering scenario development that are not all fully predictable (most shifts of story hint towards several alternatives, with little possibility of defining early).
Never read the book but have been told...

There is agreat book with these abbreviations, one by Salman Rushdie (the Sea of Stories or alike - read it in French) - sort of a parody of Middle East fairy tale. Every single act by the characters at o some point refers to an abbreviation like the LTWAFE - Law of the Those Who of Always...
