I've heard rumors about there being a movie about A.S Byatt's Possession, and I just wondered if anyone had seen it. Because the book sucked. And it didn't even suck any good, it sucked like my grandmothers vaccum cleaner from 1867.
I have one brother and he is definitely not normal. He's been a bookgeek since way before me, because he was born before me. But he doesnt live at home because he is nineteen and attends this spacetech college somewhere far away. He's way more worse than me.
And sex on books. Yea baby.
No, you don't.
I just can't get myself to get over it, it just freaks me too much out. I'll just have to keep on buying my books. Everytime my parents think that I'm sneaking out at night, or parties all weekend or similar things, I just show them my book case, and ask them if it...
I would have had serious issues with that too. I don't usually lend people my books, because THEY ARE MIINE. I only lend it to my best friend, since I know she treasures my books like it would have been her baby.
Definitely Christoffer Boone from The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time. He is a fifteen year old guy and has Aspenger's Syndrome. I want to marry him <3
I have real problems about borrowing books from the library, because there are always small stains on the pages, and you never know what it is. Some of the stains look like boogies, and some of them are brown, and then I really don't want to think about what freak who have had it before me...
Wouldn't The Hobbit be a bit too complicated? It has quite big words, and some of the descriptions are hard to understand. But I don't know the kid, he may be some kind of supernatural. 8)
I don't know if this book is recommended yet, but I really could not be bothered to read all the replies (sorry), but I'd totally recommend The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time by Mark Haddon. It's remarkably funny and well written in a childish way. As good for adults as children...
I've never read anything of William Shaw. Do you recommend that I read the books in the order you put them in, or is it just something I can decide for myself?
And, which age group, or personality type do you think will like this book? (I would like to know this fact about all three books.)
