"Remake" by Connie Willis was a nice little read about a future in which movies are no longer made the traditional way by using "warmbody" actors but with digitalized copies of the old stars, complete with litigation issues. Of course everything has to be politically correct, so it is Tom's job...
I'm on a Band of Brothers roll - I've read the original book by Stephen Ambrose and the memoirs of Bill Guarnere, Edward Heffron and David Kenyon Webster, which all made great and interesting reads, and I've got a few more books to look forward to. I don't know what it is I find so fascinating...
My last movie was Skyfall at the theatre. That was a good Bond for once. Not all too focused on exploding stuff - what I loved best about it was the humour and the stellar cast.
Sorry I won't be able to make it this month, there's just too much that keeps popping up, howling for my attention. I'll be sure to catch up later if that's OK.
Getting through the rest of the workday with some residual migraine headache. Coming home, I will have to face a stack of laundry to be ironed or folded:confused: ... and after that, all I want is a nice quiet evening with a book or a movie.
