In Stephen King's Four Past Midnight, one of the stories, The Sun Dog, is about a camera and pix. In It, there are many mentions of pictures, coming to life, bleeding, winking, etc.
Is this what you mean? Or are you looking for a specific book?
There have only been two books that have ever scared me.
1. When I was a teen, we lived in an older 2 story house. My bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs; there was a small window about halfway down those stairs. I was reading 'Salem's Lot at the time and going past that...
I love this book! It's one of those that I can pick up anywhere, open to a page and just start reading. I've read it too many times to count. Her other books are good also, but this is the cream of the crop.
This is a real longshot since I don't remember a whole lot about this book. I would have read it in the late 70s or early 80s, but I don't know if it was older than that.
I remember it had several kids in it, brothers and sisters or maybe cousins, and it seems like the kids were sent to live...
The book is From The Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz. I love that scene. It seems so normal, he seems so in love and then he just pushes her. It freaked me out when I read it. I thought what?? and had to reread it to make sure I read it right.
