Much to my dismay, all the fuss over the 2008 election has started early. All you can hear is talk of Obama or Clinton, Giuliani or McCain. Depressing. I see no difference in these canidates. I ask:
Would you ever consider voting for someone other than a Republican or Democrat for the...
I just made Belgian Waffles and watched the Sarah Silverman Program. I'm about to watch the Colbert Report, after which I will read one chapter each of A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn and Anarchism and Other Essays by Emma Goldman.
Check out some of Kurt Vonnegut's work.
Also, I think you would like the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. The characters are perfect, you really get into their heads.
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis might interest you, though it is a Christian book, it's still...
I'm looking for a book about the Cuban Revolution, preferably centered around Che Guevara. I have found plenty out there, but they all seem to have mixed reviews. Has anyone read a book on the subject that you enjoyed?
Also, mention if you have read any good books on other revolutions. Namely...

Seriously, just listen to it. I'm totally in love with it. Or...

If Siddhartha isn't acceptable, then I nominate Neuromancer by William Gibson. It received the Nebula...
Ah, sorry. I thought you meant you wanted to start one here.
I was never able to get into roleplaying because of this. The lack of grammar skill and childishness in many members is frustrating.
I don't think a roleplaying forum here would draw a lot of interest. And without a good number of dedicated players, it wouldn't be worth the time when there are plenty of other sites dedicated to roleplaying.
Anyone here a fan of The Shins? I wasn't too crazy about them until I heard their new album Wincing The Night Away. I guess you would call them indie rock.

Watch the video for "Phantom Limb". Scroll down a little bit and its the one on the right. It's the best...
I'm now reading A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn. Very educational. I get to unlearn all off the stuff I learn during the day in U.S. History class.
I just learned recently that after the death of Abraham Lincoln's 12 year old son, his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, had a number of séances conducted in the White House to contact him. She made her husband participate. Weird.
