Why are you guys in such a rush to finish your books. You should sit back, relax and read them at your own pace. I would think that worrying about your speed would be distracting and take away from the joy of reading the novel.

Anyone know any good novels that deal with searching for god? Preferably something literal, like the following of the monoliths in 2001: A Space Odyssey or, if any of you play video games, xenogears.

this is a great movie. i went in thinking it might be a big piece of stinky cheese but i ended up really feeling for the guy. this and the fountain are aronofsky's best imo
i haven't seen planet terror yet but death proof is hilarious. i had a smile on my face throughout the entire movie
I miss season one as well..the writing seems a lot weaker now. The back-stories and the interaction between the survivors seemed a lot more genuine and less hokey. I used to get teared up but now when they try to get emotional i don't feel anything.
I don't like Harry Potter or Twilight either but I can see why they're so popular. They're fun, light reading with enough entertainment value to hook a wide variety of readers. The same thing can be found in cinema. A large number of the highest grossing movies aren't anywhere near my favorite...
