It just depends on the story and what flows best, in my opinion. It should sound natural and easy to read, and a bit of variation stops it from being boring, too.

I sometimes go back to my old favourites - especially to books I once read in my teenage or younger years (I was a mature reader for my age) as I find I see them in a different light now.

I'm stuck at home with no job, but I'm writing away like the little scribe that I am (and occasionally posting on forums!)
