Thank you for your comments John. They have helped, although I write in a bit of a different way from usual... you see, I write from dreams, this short story being the most recent of them.
Perhaps I should play about with it and try and adapt it by making it less boring, but I like to write...
It just depends on the story and what flows best, in my opinion. It should sound natural and easy to read, and a bit of variation stops it from being boring, too.
