Okay, get your minds out of the gutter... ;)
What position do you consider the most comfortable for reading? Do you read while lying down, sitting in a chair, or at a table or desk? Or do you enjoy reading in a more creative pose?
Well, it really depends on the surface. I think it would be okay on dust jackets, the kind that are shiny. It really doesn't take much peanut butter - just a smidge. Just rub a little bit on and leave it there for a few minutes. Then take a soft, slightly moist cloth and rub off the sticky...
Neato thread. I never put a book face down - I always have to have the cover face up. I also like to rub my books right before I put them down; maybe that's weird, but that's just me.
:) :) :) :) :)
Name something -anything - that makes you happy.
I'll begin:
The two nice guys at the coffee shop I visit each morning before work who always make me smile at some dumb joke they're telling.
I just started States of Mind by Brad Herzog last night. He and his wife travelled across America to places such as Harmony, California and Love, Virginia because they wanted to see what was "out there." I've always wanted to do that myself, but I'll probably have to wait until retirement...
I can honestly say that I've never read the same book more than once. But just because I haven't yet doesn't mean that I wouldn't. For me, a book would have to be really, really good for me to read it again. I have too many unread books on my shelves, and they're all calling my name, "Read me!"
This is just an idea, so if it doesn't fly, my little newbie feelings won't be hurt. ;)
I would like to share a challenge with anyone who wants to join me. I have been watching WAY too much television lately, and it's cutting into my reading time. I feel like I can see my I.Q. points...
I just picked this one up a couple of weeks ago. Haven't read it yet, but I definitely want to. The ghost story element is what made me buy it. That, plus I always love books that have the state of Maine as a setting.
Interesting and timely question for me. Recently, within the last couple of weeks, I tried to read more than one book at a time. I cannot do it! I wish I could, but I'm just way too much of a perfectionist. I have to finish one thing before I start another.
I haven't even bought it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to love Giada De Laurentiis's Everyday Italian cookbook. I'm a big fan of her show - she makes everything look so easy and delicious.
Hello, folks! I have been sneaking around here for a couple of days, and thought I'd go ahead and join up. How very nice it is to find a group of book lovers who like to chat! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing my love of books and writing with you as well. :)
