Books you have fallen asleep reading

Yeah, I always read before I sleep too, and that makes me sleepy, but by falling asleep I guess I mean boring enough to fall asleep during. The way I know a quality book is is I am willing to lose sleep because of it.

Books you have fallen asleep reading

Personally, I have only ever fallen asleep reading one book, and that was Willa Cather's 'Death Comes for the Archbishop". All I can say is, he didn't die soon enough.

    Juliet Marillier: The Sevenwaters Trilogy

Some other good rewrites are Gregory Maguire's books like Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, and Lost.

    Poem: Expectation

Expectation Though you see nothing of what I am feeling I accept that you do not understand Your differences have blinded you from seeing But you must let me alone withstand Sometimes you perceive what others cannot And you comfort me as well as you can Other times I am left...

    Jerry Spinelli

As simple as most of his books are to read they are very insightful. He has written Maniac Magee (Newberry Winner), Crash, Stargirl and Milkweed to name a few. What do you guys think of his writing?

William Golding: Lord Of The Flies

I read this book in 10th grade Honors English. I absolutely loved it. I think it's a fairly accurate reflection of society, especially at the time it was written in light of what was and had been going on in the world. I am pretty sure it was written around 1959, but I just wanted to say...

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Movie

Seeing as the forth book is probably the best of all the Harry Potter books so far, I wouldn't mind if it were 5 hours either. I do think they need a new Harry though. Daniel Radcliffe isn't the best actor. He looks the part perfectly, but watching him act drives me crazy.

    Ella Enchanted

No, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am going to soon. Grudgingly, of course. I am very dissapointed with how much they have changed this story. This was one of my favorite books as a child, and I still really enjoy it today, but from the changes they have made and the serious dislike I...
