Lessee, recently The Strand Volume 8, June to December 1894 and an August 1904 issue of the magazine from book sellers in New York and Colorado, respectively. Several more vintage books and magazines are on the way from a variety of sources.

The town I live in lost its lone used book store soon after I moved here in 2002, leaving one of the Uber chains and lesser evils left for reading material, and to them we do not speak . . .

Back when I worked at newspapers for a living, I got suckered into reviewing movies and had to sit through that . . . thing. Battlefield Earth is right up there with Kevin Sorbo as Kull the Conqueror. Think I gave that stinker half a star.

I was looking for a book forum and ran across this site, and registered straight away. I'm a collector of vintage and antique books and magazines. I'm currently trying to complete the run of bound volumes of 'The Strand' magazine from the 19th century, but do pick up VG or better volumes...
